Two years after his last essential outing, Black Circle is back on home label Moon Harbour with another summer sizzler in the form of ‘Jetski.’
Swiss-based Agim Jashari, aka Black Circle, is a real mainstay of the underground. He’s worked with many of the scene’s most vital labels, from Andrea Oliva’s All I Need to RADIANT. and this one, and he also has worked with label head Mattias Tnazmann as well as Nic Fanciulli and Rony Seikaly amongst many more. His sound takes in all house sub-genres and is never far from the top of the digital charts.
The fantastic ‘Jetski’ is a deep tech house cut that brings late-night energy but with precision and soul. Muted cosmic synths drift in and out of focus while rich layers of organic percussion, toms and congas pepper the groove with a human touch. A moody Afro vocal builds in tension and helps make for a masterclass in restraint and rhythm that will lock any dancefloor under its spell.
Black Circle once again proves his ability to fuse depth and drive with a gem that’s primed to soundtrack the height of summer and beyond.
