Moon Harbour founder Matthias Tanzmann’s faultless run of collaborations continues with a new hookup alongside The Deepshakerz.
Renowned tech house figurehead Matthias Tanzman has had another busy Spring headlining clubs and festivals across all of Europe. There is great synergy between his DJ sets and the tunes he produces, and lately they have come alongside the likes of Francisco Allendes, Steve Bug and Black Circle, though last time out he went solo on the brilliant ‘Sentosa’. For this one, he works with Italian favourites Domy Berardino and Mirco Sonatore, house mavericks with Afro, deep, melodic, tech and Chicago styles in their arsenal. They are Moon Harbour mainstays who have dropped the likes of the Ain’t Nobody EP, ‘Mama Say’ and ‘Reasons feat. Émilie Rachel’ in the last couple of years, while more recently they have set the house agenda on Knee Deep In Sound, Kittball and many more.
Their ‘Lift Me Up’ is a chunky tech house heater that grabs you by the hips. The body-moving groove is anchored by tribal drums, but there’s plenty of soul within: smoldering vocal hooks rise from the depths and bring a heartfelt human energy. It’s a dancefloor confessional that’s real, raw and gritty.
With this new single, Tanzmann and The Deepshakerz deliver a peak-time weapon that’s as emotionally charged as it is physically commanding.
