Long-time Moon Harbour family member Chris Di Perri is back for his essential annual appearance on the label, this time in collaboration with the boss himself, Matthias Tanzmann.
Matthias Tanzmann has already had a big 2026 with a standout solo single ‘Friday High’ followed by another of his now signature collaborations with AYOUBYME and ROOMER. Coupled with headline appearances everywhere from Fabrik Madrid to Akasha in Ibiza and Koko in London, he remains one of tech house’s most recognisable and influential artists.
Here he works with new school peer Chris Di Perri, who sits alongside him at the vanguard of the scene. His lively tunes come on Desolat, Elrow Music and Minshdake as well as this one, where he has worked solo but also with Melanie Ribbe in the past. Once again this summer, the Cologne favourite is making his mark with sets at Hi Ibiza as well as many other cult European clubs like Club der Visionaire.
On the hustling tech house cut ‘Hit The Brakes’, rapid-fire rapped vocals detonate straight out the gate and energy redlines. Subtle bursts of exotic strings flash through the mix and light up a chunky, hip-shaking bassline that rides looped drums that make you sweat as much as strut.
This is steamy house at its most wild – an edgy and characterful tapestry of samples that never sit still.
