Rony Seikaly is back on Moon Harbour with a deep and tender new house single alongside British powerhouse VITO (UK). The standout original comes with vocals by Miluhska and a typically excellent remix from the ever-prolific Butch.
Seikaly’s first love has always been music despite a decorated career in the NBA. In the last decade, he has soundtracked the underground with his own Stride label, a summer residency at Circoloco DC10 and high-energy, vibe-filled anthems on a range of labels. For this one, he links with VITO (UK) who burst into the house scene with an authentic blend of sounds, ultimate rollers and soothing melodies on the likes of Deeperfect and TRMNL. Finally, Ecuador-born, Miami-based singer, songwriter, producer and DJ Miluhska is a favourite with the likes of The Martinez Brothers, Marco Corola and Dennis Cruz
Their fantastic ‘Running Cash’ is a silky, deep sound with a cheeky retro bassline. Wispy synths whir, neon melodies leave trails in their way, and the smoky, soulful vocal from Miluhska brings an alluring, sultry edge as she whispers in your ear. It’s a slick groove that never quits.
Butch needs little introduction. He has been turning out essential sounds across house, tech and minimal for decades. He is a studio master who never stops evolving, and here flips the original into a shadowy late-night sound with Latin rhythms and lush, glowing pads. There are hints of 90s house in the bassline, and it’s a perfectly seductive sound for cosy dancefloors.
With ‘Running Cash’, Seikaly, VITO and Milushka deliver a cosy deep house groove that’s impossible to resist.
